2020/21 Ross Valley Yellow Bus Program Temporarily Suspended
Ross Valley Parents-
Under the guidance of the members of the Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement committee (JEPA) which includes representatives from the Town of San Anselmo, Town of Fairfax, County of Marin, and Ross Valley School District, Marin Transit has decided to suspend the yellow bus program through January, 2021, and until all class levels at White Hill Middle School have resumed in-person education.
Why can’t the program begin sooner?
The purpose of the yellow bus program is to help minimize traffic by providing transportation to students of participating Ross Valley schools. In keeping with this purpose, Marin Transit has suspended the program until all class levels have resumed in-person education at White Hill Middle School and the appropriate route schedules have been finalized by Marin Transit and its bus operations contractor.
When the program resumes how will routes be assigned?
Before the program resumes we will reach out to all lottery participants with updated route schedules and lottery results. We will provide families with more information as soon as it becomes available.
Will there be adjustments to pass pricing when the program resumes?
Yes, when passes go on sale they will be pro-rated. As soon as an official date has been determined for when the program will resume a new pass price will be calculated and communicated to all lottery participants.
